This textured organic carved ring consists of scattering of pink faceted sapphires encased in sterling silver.
It is a combination of hand carving and texturing of the wax before the ring is cast in sterling silver. This ring is cast in place using the lost wax process, where the wax is replaced by molten silver capturing the spinels in place.
This design is unique as each piece is different depending upon the hand carving of the wax, the different stones used, and the outcome of the process.
The sapphires are used for their brilliance in colour and their ability to withstand the heat of the molten silver use in the cast in place process.
