About Claire

Nature’s Artistry in Precious Metals

At the heart of Claire Quick Jewellery is a deep and personal connection to the natural world. From the rugged formations of coastal rocks to the delicate intricacies of lichen, Claire draws inspiration from the textures and structures found in her surroundings. These quiet details — often missed in passing — become the starting point for sculptural jewellery that captures a moment in time and place.

Time spent outdoors, especially walking with her two dogs, offers space for reflection and discovery. Whether it’s the way light moves across water or the layered surfaces of bark and stone, these encounters are translated into pieces that feel tactile, grounded, and full of quiet energy.

Working with organic forms, Claire transforms nature’s fleeting impressions into enduring objects — jewellery that feels as though it’s emerged from the landscape itself. Each piece becomes a small echo of nature’s artistry, held in precious metal.

My Inspiration

Claire’s jewellery is inspired by the textures and forms found in nature — from rugged coastlines to delicate lichen, and rugged wood/bark. Time spent outdoors with her dogs offers moments of stillness and discovery, where light, surface, and detail spark ideas.

These natural impressions are translated into sculptural, tactile jewellery — pieces that hold a sense of place and quiet connection.

The Process

Claire uses traditional techniques like lost wax casting and cast-in-place gemstone setting to create each piece by hand. Working in wax allows her to shape fluid, organic forms, often using found textures or carving freehand.

The process is instinctive — no two casts are identical. She works mainly in sterling silver, often setting sapphires or moissanites directly into the wax before casting. The result is jewellery with raw texture and individual character.
